SAVVY Kwata is more than a library. We are a vibrant community space that celebrates the richness of Cameroon’s cultural heritage and the wider African world. Here, stories are told not just through books, but through spoken word, dance, song, painting, sculpture, and traditions that remain unrecorded but are deeply felt.
Our platform nurtures both published and unpublished voices, blending the past and present in the preservation of ancestral knowledge. From arts and crafts to education and cultural practices, we are dedicated to safeguarding and sharing the wisdom that shapes who we are.

When you become a Friend of SAVVY Kwata, you become part of a growing circle of allies committed to protecting knowledge, culture, and community in some of Cameroon’s most vulnerable spaces.
Since 2020, with limited but essential support, we have built a network of teachers, students, activists, artists, labourers, and traditional leaders. Together, we use decolonial pedagogy and the arts as tools of survival, defiance, and hope, engaging directly with our people at the grassroots, where help is needed most.
Yet, as the Anglophone crisis marks its ninth painful year, we are at a critical juncture. The need is urgent. The stakes are high. And we cannot do this alone.
Your friendship makes possible:

At SAVVY Kwata, we believe that true change is built through solidarity, dialogue, and collective action. That’s why we are always open to collaborations with cultural organisations, institutions, and individuals who share our commitment to preserving knowledge, nurturing creativity, and empowering communities.
Whether you are an artist, educator, researcher, cultural worker, or institution, if you share our vision, we invite you to walk this path with us.
