As a vessel of books, SAVVY Kwata’s mission is to ignite a consciousness and a zeal for the pursuit of literature, and art, both theoretical and practical. It has established literary circles in the form of book clubs to foster the habit of reading and the exchange of cultural knowledge and ideas around the country.

Members are students, teachers, cooks, farmers and it is open to the community as a whole.

We are working with a selection of authors and reading through them collectively, providing literary perspectives which emanate from the regions and present critically constructive viewpoints to engage with.

We hold meetings at least twice a month and members are given books that they keep for the period unanimously agreed upon.
