SAVVY Kwata is engaging with young and socially minded artists, students, and researchers to join the collective processes of learning, exchanging, and exploring Cameroon’s rich cultural, artistic, and creative heritage. The art tours are constituted of workshops, lectures, studio and gallery visits, and provide opportunities for our participants to engage critically on issues of decoloniality and cultural identity. This presents us with a space to expand on our collective understandings of the varied approaches to art and art-making as well as the potential of art to act as a vehicle for social contribution.
