The Abakwa Arts and Craft Fair, co-organised by the Lem-D Foundation and SAVVY Contemporary, brought people together in Bamenda to celebrate the creative traditions of the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon.

More than just a showcase of talent, the fair offered a space for preserving and sharing traditional knowledge. Through practical workshops and conversations, we worked to encourage the passing down of skills and stories across generation is essential to strengthening community identity and supporting to decolonial work in a meaningful way.

The fair was also a marketplace for local artisans, providing an opportunity for craftspeople to showcase their work, meet new audiences, and support their livelihoods through their art.
